1. We allow multiple people playing with the league player if they want, even if they're in the league themselves or not, the only thing we require is to play with "play the hole out" setting turned on, to better prevent someone hitting another's ball.
2. Mulligans will be disabled, but in the case of misreads or system malfunctions one of our staff members can manually mulligan that specific shot. Also, in the case of not being able to finish out your round due to unforeseen circumstances i.e. game has to be re launched due to bugs or software issues, power outages, severe weather etc. the players round will start back on the hole that the player was previously playing, with all previous holes already having been logged on Squabbit. If scores are not logged before the issue, we will require you to play any holes that are left blank.
3. The scorecard on our software will be reviewed by a member of the staff at round completion. This will help ensure accurate scores and verify that no mulligans were taken unless given by a member of our staff. We will also require a scorecard picture be taken after each players round.
4. The league will be handicapped with everyone starting their first round at scratch, unless you've played in previous leagues at Teed Up then your handicap will carry over season to season. Each of the next 7 weeks your score will keep adjusting to an average handicap. We will also have 2 or more flights dependent on how many players join the league, with each flight having their own 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place payouts, so everyone has a chance to win.
Tee Boxes: How do they work?
1. Tee Box's for every course round will be set as close to 6200 yards as possible "Rounding up or down" with the exceptions listed down below.
2. Anyone 60 years or older will play one tee box up from the selected tee box for that week. I.e. White tee's are 6200 Yards and the next tee box up is 5800 "Yellow tee box for 60 and above"
3. Any female participants will be playing from the red tee box or the closest tee box if a red tee box is not an option for a specific course.
We are using an application called Squabbit to run and operate the league.
You can download the app on your phone or you can use the Squabbit website to see the leaderboards and find what your handicap is.
Maximum gross score per hole is set to double bogey, this is to allow for faster play and to keep scores a bit lower overall.
Gross and Net scores will be displayed on the Squabbit leaderboard for each weeks round, however we will only use Net scoring for placements.
In the event of a tie, the combined back 9 scores are compared to determine a winner. If there is still a tie, the last 6 hole totals are compared, then the last 3 then the last hole until a winner can be determined. This will only use Net scores and not Gross for calculation.
Handicaps and FedEx Points: How do they work?
For each *completed round* your handicap will automatically be updated using Squabbits integrated USGA formula.
We are using 80% of everyone's handicap to calculate scores.
"The 80% only affects your net score and does not change the displayed handicap that you are given."
Handicap will also be capped at a maximum of 30 for each individual.
For FedEx points, you'll be given FedEx points after each *completed round.*
They will be awarded as follows:
1st: 10 FedEx points
2nd: 7 FedEx points
3rd: 5 FedEx points
4th: 4 FedEx points
5th - 10th: 3 FedEx points
11th - 15th: 2 FedEx points
16th - Last: 1 FedEx points
This is for each flight after scoring so 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. for each flight will be awarded 10 points, 7 points, 5 points etc. respectively.
FedEx Points will go towards the final round of the eighth week. This final round will have a slightly higher payout and be played on a specific course with its own settings i.e. stimp, gimmie circle, and fairway and green firmness.
In each flight we will start the final round at -3 for 1st place, -2 for 2nd place, and -1 for 3rd place for the total of FedEx points received throughout each of the previous weeks.
When week 7 has been completed, we are going to flight the FedEx points.
This will be as follows:
1st and 2nd place on the FedEx points leaderboards will be both 1st place and start with -3 on the last round.
3rd and 4th place will be 2nd place and start with -2 on the last round.
5th and 6th will be 3rd place and start with -1 on the last round.
"A *completed round* means that the scores have been finalized for that week, and the entire round for that specific week is over"
There will be no refunds for anything regarding league play.
A $128 registration fee is required to sign up for play in the league with $110 of that added to a pot which will payout each week. 1st 2nd and 3rd place will pay in each flight, the other $10 will go to draw prizes which will be raffled off on the 8th week.
Additionally each week will cost $25 for that round of play.
In the event of a tie, we will split the payouts for example: If there are two people tied for 2nd place we will add both 2nd and 3rd places payouts together and split that amount to each person.
We will also have a Hole in one fund which you can put in prior to each round. 100% of these proceeds will be paid out to a participating player who makes a hole in one during league gameplay. If no Hole in ones are made during the league play all the proceeds will be used to buy items to be given away as draw prizes after week 8 has been completed.
If someone would like to sign up in the middle of the league season, their first round would start with them as a scratch golfer and with 0 FedEx points.
Payouts:
We have selected a specific amount from the $128 registration fee that goes towards each week.
Each flight is paid the same I.e. 1st in both flights would each receive the same amount and so on.
On a 30 person League, you can expect payouts to be somewhere around
1st $90, 2nd $55, 3rd $30, for each week.
The final 8th week will have increased payouts by using the rest of the $128 registration fee that was not used during previous weeks.
We will also take $8 per player and add it to our already existing hole in one pot.
Currently we have $200 in our hole in one pot, this will continue to add up and roll over into each new season that we run.
"Hole in one" must be done during your league round to qualify.
Players MUST have previously played 4 rounds or more to qualify for the Final Round and our Raffle.
There will be a substantial increase in payouts for this Final Round.
We will also raffle off items after our final week has concluded!
